The Adventures of Batman & Robin (Mega Drive- Genesis) (43:26)

  1. turrican's song begins. logical, is the best game ever

  2. Awesome list. I was surprised though that BroForce or MERCS didn't make the cut…

  3. My all-time favorites: Contra III, Contra Hard Corps, Shattered Soldier and Gunstar Heroes. Shoutout to Alien Soldier and the Metal Slug franchise, of course. Wish we'd get ports of Gunforce II and Hard Corps Uprising on modern platforms!

  4. No jodas, el transformers de famicom es malisimo xd

  5. I am a simple man, I hear Turrican music, I click like

  6. Wow that jail break game would be so controversial today

  7. Would you consider Joe & Mac or PLOK a run and gun game? Just curious

  8. Hard Corps: Uprising is probably the best run-n-gun game currently in existence. An Anime version of Contra (set in the Contra universe, it just doesn't use the name for some reason) that hits all the right notes. Absolutely criminal that we never got a sequel to that game, or at least a port to current gen consoles!
RIP the mighty Contra. Konami seem intent on either brining out the worst games possible (Rogue Corps… ugh) or just burying the franchise entirely.

  9. Are they throwing swastikas in that ninja game?!

  10. No "Star Gate" from any 16-bit ? 🙁

p.s. Genesis/megadrive Doom Troopers are still better then SNES version))

  11. Nice video with a lot of good games. 🙂
I was wondering what shader config you use in your setup? I take it you emulate these games? 🙂

  12. 43:00 the adventures of Batman and Robin shown here, is actually for the Sega Genesis, not the SNES

  13. elevator action 1983..??
    39:29 elevator action returns
    Shinobi 1988..??
    shinobi 2? 1980s..?

  14. I don't see 2 Contra games for PSX, Rendering Ranger, Realm and Timeslip (SNES) in the video. Oh if Zombies Ate My Neighbors is here, Ghoul Patrol should be here also.

  15. Man i want to thank you from the bottom of my heart that you put in the video the elevator action returns. I dident know the name of the game i just know that when i was young i was in an place with arcade games and i remember my self playing this game and never forgeting the second stage the crash of the helicopter before you start. I dident know the name until today i found the game and the name of the game i never believed that i could ever find that game again. Oh man i cant descripe the hapiness watching again this game😭😭😭

  16. A small tip, for many of those mid to late 80s arcades, check if there is a mega drive/genesis version, That version at first glance might look worse.

But generally speaking. Outside the colors the genesis hardware many times was better and things might look smaller becouse genesis runs at higher resolution.
(in fact the smaller color palette was the trade genesis made to be comparable or better than arcade hardware at a lower price point)

So many of those games might be be better on the genesis. It all depends if the dev put the effort and dint cheap on the size of the rom chip. If anything, the music is usually much better.

The prime case for that is the wonderboy 3 game.

  17. Sadly the one i amlooking for isnot hear… I played it back when i was kid.. I played it in arcade machine…. I forgot the name so im searvhi searching for it again… The only thing i know is itsa run n gun game… Kind of

  18. Os anos 80 os donos de fliperamas ganhavam dinheiro, fichas e mais fichas os jogos eram difícil de ir muito longe.

  19. Amazing list/compilation, my dude! So nice to see the evolution of Run n Gun games, this way.

  20. Does anyone remember the name of a game similar to Super R-Type where in a city scene a big alien-like face appears between the buildings?

  21. Where was Metal Slug XX? I really enjoyed that game on my PSP. Otherwise, a really good video with lots of different choice. 😀

  22. if youre just seeing this video in 2023, check out Huntdown

  23. Code name viper 18:25 and Exolon 10:42. I've been trying to remember those games more than 20 years. OMG thanks

  24. Some of these games are top-down shooters, not "run and gun"

  25. Some say they're "platformers" but Shinobi , Ghouls'n'ghosts and Magician Lord are also run and gun
